One of the biggest passions of HeadStrong is to help young people achieve and that means that the work we do in schools is some of our most treasured and valued.

As experienced educators we all know about the intellectual side of learning; we understand the balance between rote and experiential, we know we can't operate a one size fits all teaching style, we are skilled in helping our young people prepare for exams but we are still developing our skills in the emotional side of learning. How does stress affect the learning effectiveness of students? What is the best way for the mind to organise large amounts of information to make it easily accessible when under pressure? How to we re-engage the disengaged? Are we teachers, therapist, counselors or are we all 3?

This is where HeadStrong come in. We can help you in two distinct ways:

• Individual Support - for those pupils who just need something more

Workshops

We are becoming the provider of choice for those school that are wanting something different, something that will deliver sustainable change that will last longer than a couple of days, something that both staff and pupils can use for positive outcomes.

Aspire To Success

We are also now delivering our flagship Aspire to Success programme across Renfrewshire Authority. Aspire to Success is delivered to your full S5-S6 and also contains, staff CPD sessions, specific classroom based session to support and reengage disengaged pupils and, uniquely, a session designed for the parents of your S4-S6 pupils teaching the skills needed to support pupils in one of the most pressured times of their lives.

Individual Support

Please contact us if you believe you have a pupil who could benefit from some additional individual support due to:

• School refusal
• Self harm issues
• Bullying
• Disengagement/Behavioral issues

We understand that teachers are equipped to handle many situations but sometimes you recognise you are either too close to the situation or getting into areas of the pupils life or psyche that you are not experienced in dealing with. HeadStrong have that experience.
